Course Introduction
About the Session
Parametric insurance was first introduced to protect agricultural communities from severe weather events in developing nations in Asia during the mid-1990s. With the rapid advances in satellite imagery, A.I., sensor technology, along with the immediate, ongoing, and worsening impacts of climate change, parametric insurance has increasingly been gaining momentum as a preferred alternative to traditional insurance policies. As the parametric insurance allows for quick recovery from measurable climate-related events, insurers around the world have a deeper interest in making it a promising insurance solution for climate sustainability.
This executive webinar will introduce insurance professionals to the fundamentals of effective designing and pricing the parametric insurance policy. The session will highlight the current status and future development of the parametric insurance globally. In addition, the session will deep dive into the design process of the parametric insurance and explain crucial factors that influence pricing strategies.
The webinar will also serve as a gateway to our upcoming in-depth training program on parametric insurance, which will offer a practical, hands-on learning journey — equipping executives, actuaries, and product developers with the technical skills to design, price, and implement parametric insurance products effectively.
Join us for this session to explore how parametric insurance can help you not only manage climate risks but also unlock new market opportunities. Take the first step towards becoming a leader in climate-resilient insurance innovation.
