HRM Training Aims to Further Improve the Efficiency and Effectiveness of the HR Systems in Bangladesh

The senior- and middle level-management officials of the Titas Gas T & D Co. Ltd. will participate in a two-week training on Human Resources Management on 26 April – 7 May 2010.  This capacity—building program aims to assist in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the HR systems in Bangladesh Titas Gas T & D Co. 10 educators and senior officials from Administrative Training Institute, Mysore, India will visit Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok, Thailand to attend a one week professional course on “Training of Trainers”.

The objective of this one-week intensive customized course is to bring the trainer’s competencies at a higher level with the opportunity to deepen their understanding on the ideas and principles of a competitive performance and thus, develop the skills to pass the knowledge gained to future generations. Marketing and Value Chain Management in AgricultureAIT Extension is organizing a two weeks training program on “Marketing and Value Chain Management in Agriculture” from 29 March to 10 April 2010 for senior level managers of the Palli Karma Sahayak Foundation (PKSF), Bangladesh. As an apex microcredit funding and capacity building organisation PKSF, in English means “Rural Employment Support Foundation”, was established by the Government of Bangladesh in May 1990. For the last two decades PKSF has been working for eradicating poverty by providing microcredit to the poor through its Partner Organisations (POs) and in strengthening the institutional infrastructure of those POs so that they can improve their present operations. AIT Extension Opens Representative Office in Kathmandu, Nepal

AIT Extension has opened its new Representative Office in Kathmandu, Nepal. The Nepal Representative Office will contribute to AIT Extension’s expanding professional education services in Nepal. 

The recent agreement between AIT and Foundation for Development Management (FDM) has enabled AIT Extension to set up the AITE Representative Office on the premises of FDM in Kathmandu. This initiative signals AIT Extension’s willingness to expand its regional presence, and reach and assist more organizations around the region.  Read more »



Learn the art of Contract Administration, Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) at AIT

By popular demand AIT Extension is over again contemplating to run the international professional course on “Contract Administration, Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution” from 12 – 23 July, 2010.

The course familiarizes participants with general principles of international arbitration and alternative methods of dispute resolution (ADR). It examines the legal issues involved in international commercial arbitration and introduces the goals and techniques of mediation. The emphasis throughout is on the development of practical skills.
