Overseas Study Tour Program on Fish Marketing and Value Chain Management in Thailand & Vietnam – Batch 1

The series of these programs aim to enhance participant’s knowledge and skills, who will be the fisheries officers from Department of Fisheries (DoF) in Bangladesh and relevant policy makers, in the areas of fish marketing, value chain analysis & management, relevant research and international trade for fish and seafood products.

The participants will be able:

  • to acquire a better understanding on fish marketing and value-chain management in the local market and in the international fish trade, and relevant policies.
  • to analyze the dynamics of fish marketing and distribution of benefits in the value-chain linkages and the design of the chain.
  • to understand better on how developing countries can increase the value and derive higher benefits from their fisheries resources.
  • to be able to design and conduct value chain analysis for fisheries commodities.

Participants are officials under the Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock
