General Banking and Management of Central Banks – Nepal Rastra Bank (05 – 09 July, 2010)

AIT Extension in close collaboration with Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) (Central Bank of Nepal) is hosting a special advance course on “General Banking and Management of Central Banks” at AIT, Thailand. Thirty-one officials from NRB are attending this program. This customized training course guides participants in an exploration of essential topics in Central Bank management and the management of critical Central Bank functions through the seasoned experience of Central Banking veterans, experts, and practitioners, and leading academics in effective leadership, supervision skills. Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) and Environment (1 – 7 July, 2010)

In close collaboration with the Department of Local Infrastructure Development and Agricultural Roads (DoLIDAR) under the Ministry of Local Development (MoLD), Nepal, AIT Extension has arranged various customized training programs for the Engineers and Project Staff of DoLIDAR and MoLD. The training programs are sponsored by Asian Development Bank (ADB). Thirty-two officials from DoLIDAR and MoLD have already completed different training cum study visit programs at AIT, Thailand. AIT holds training course on Procurement Management for Ministry of Local Development, Nepal

In its aim to update its personnel and make them more in tune with the international practices on procurement management for more methodical and transparent system, the Ministry of Local Development of the Government of Nepal will be sending participants to the training course on “Advanced Strategies in Public Procurement”. This one-week course, to run on 23 – 29 June 2010, has been designed expressly to serve the continuing development goals of national procurement professionals.
