This is a ten days Customized Professional Development Training and Exposure Visit Program on Agriculture Commercialization and Marketing is prepared for twelve Senior Officials from Project for Agriculture Commercialization and Trade (PACT), Ministry of Agriculture Development (MoAD), Government of Nepal.
The Project for Agriculture Commercialization and Trade (PACT) is one of the pioneer projects in Nepal implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture Development (MOAD) focusing on agriculture commercialization and trade. Most of the potential value chains for commercialization and trade are provisioned for production technology; post- harvest management and marketing. These value chains are supported through the competitive grant measures and inter-linkage of producers, processors and traders are facilitated to gain the economic scale and trade volume.
This seminar and exposure visit is designed for 10 days (including travel) in Thailand and aims to expose PACT officials with learning opportunity on agriculture management, marketing and commercialization. The program covers seminars on planning and management of agriculture marketing and commercialization. It highlights exposure visits to agencies and projects initiated by public and private sectors on management of agriculture products and market, agro-tourism, rural agricultural development, value-added processes for farmer crops and income generation activities and community agro-business.
Objective:
This program aims to prepare the participants to effectively understand the process and stages of agribusiness management and marketing development focusing on the crucial elements of agriculture commercialization.
This program to be conducted from 27 March – 4 April 2017 at Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok
