International Training Course on Pump Technology for Flood Control: Essentials and Applications of Pump, 25th - 31st August 2016

This seminar is intended to inform fundamental approach to planning and design of pumping facilities. In view of more useful knowledge in practical works, applications of pumping equipment for flood control and drainage pump station including operation methods and vibration & noise are lectured. Site travel to the drainage pump station is planned during the seminar.

This program will be held on 25th-31st August 2016 at Ambassador Hotel, Sukhumwit 11, Bangkok, Thailand. 

Total number of 30 will be invited from government agencies and public sectors, consulting firms and institutions related to pump engineering. Applicants should have at least B.S. degree in Mechanical, Industrial, and Electrical, or other related fields, and should be between 28-55 years of age. Detailed training objectives and targeted participants are given in the attached flyer.

A limited number of fellowships from EBARA Hatakeyama Memorial Fund which cover tuition fees and accommodation for foreiengner will be offered to qualified applicants from “Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam”. International/Domestic travel to and from Bangkok and per diem shall be borne by each applicant. Selection will be based on academic background, current job responsibilities and experience. Since the instruction will be in English, proven competency in English is required.
