AIT Extension successfully completed the 4th capacity development program on “Preparing the Next Generation of Leaders for the Challenges of 21st Century Bangladesh” (21 August – 18 November, 2011)

Despite having to overcome considerable operational difficulties, AIT Extension successfully completed this three-month program, which was customized for thirty-two mid-level Bangladeshi Civil Servants (BCS Cadre Officials) working under various ministries, public sector organizations, national institutes and local government departments. This program was the fourth in a series of one month and three-month capacity building programs run in 2011 for the request of Ministry of Public Administration, People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

The program covered four core modules and two special modules, which were mandatory for all participants to fulfill the requirements. Those core modules were personal management for workplace success, public sector management, information and communication technology for development and group action project (GAP). Likewise, the special modules were climate sustainability and project planning and management. The GAP module, which was run throughout the program, covered preparation of GAP proposal, GAP proposal defense, development of GAP, report preparation and final presentation. The program had also integrated organizational visits throughout the three months period with an integration and presentation session at the end.
