Value Chain Management in Agricultural Marketing

Agriculture Resources and Environment Unit, AIT Extension is organizing a 2-week professional development program on “Value Chain Management in Agriculture Marketing” (30 May – 10 Jun 2011) at Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand. This program is frequently being offered at AIT Extension, which is suitable for Agriculturists, Agriculture Extension Officers, Agricultural Bank Personnel, Market Development Personnel, Community Development Officers, NGO Officials and Policy Makers. The present participants are from Innovation Consulting PVT.Ltd. Dhaka and Agriculture Sector Program, Embassy of Denmark, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

This course aims to enhance participants’ knowledge on value chain management in agricultural marketing aspect. The participants will receive a firsthand knowledge on high-level value chain model and its implication in complete marketing plan. Further, through study-visits they will also learn various elements of the value chain model and how to add value from raw materials to the product line at various processing or product development steps.
