Course Brief: Managing for Development Results (MfDR) is a management strategy that focuses on development performance and on sustainable improvements in outcomes. In other words, it provides a framework for development effectiveness in which performance information is used to improve decision making. Practical tools for strategic planning, risk management, progress monitoring, and outcome evaluation are rooted in MfDR.

This training course will assist participants in understanding basic concepts and principles of Managing for Development Results (MfDR), technical tools used for planning, monitoring, assessing and reporting results. The course will upgrade knowledge of participants on practical approaches and applications of MfDR into their own field of work. The participants will have opportunity to upgrade their skill in the integration of project logic models of national and local level which will equip them in prioritization, monitoring and evaluation and measurement of the outcomes.
